Timmy came to live with us when he was 10 weeks old, full of love and puppy fun, and from that day on, he had our hearts. His real name was Timon, but he soon became Tim or Timmy to all that knew him. For all of you that met Tim, it was his beauty that first would take your breath away, but his willingness to gladly accept a hug from a 2 year old child, as well as an adult, made him unforgettable.
As he matured, he decided it would be his job to take care of our Golden Retrievers, and they all seemed to know this was true. Each of our precious Goldens grew to love and respect Tim as their guardian. Tim had a kind heart, and a watchful eye, which soon turned into our third pair of hands here at Heroes Gold. He would signal us with a short bark when he felt a puppy was into something inappropriate, or if play was becoming too rough. A Collie is an amazing breed, with almost humanlike ability to sense trouble in any form, and Tim was no exception. He could rest at night, once all his Goldens were fast asleep.
It was with great sadness we said our final goodbye to Tim this summer. We see him in every corner, and miss his gentle soul. Tim spent his life making things easier for us, and he did the same in his passing, by falling into sleep with dignity and grace.
Tim was a wonderful dog, who thought of everyone else’s needs before his own.
He was a prince…. a gentleman…… a friend like no other, and he will remain forever in our hearts.
